Judges Online: Capacity Building for the Judiciary through e-Learning |
|

Summary
This project is a follow-up to IOM Helsinki’s previous “e-Learning Tool on Anti-discrimination for the Judiciary” project (2005). The project contributes to the coherent and efficient application of legislation against discrimination on grounds of racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, gender, or sexual orientation through capacity building and awareness raising among the judiciary in Finland, Estonia, and Latvia. The project will combine a strategic approach to e-Learning for the judiciary with practical training and capacity building based on the e-Tool on anti-discrimination that was developed in the first e-Learning project. The project will have a distinctly European dimension though Europe-wide events on judicial e-Learning strategies and anti-discrimination legislation. National e-Learning courses for the Judiciary, which will be carried out by participating training institutes, will deepen the impact of the project at the national levels.
