Developing Assisted Voluntary Return in Finland Print

In January 2010, IOM Helsinki launched the project "Developing Assisted Voluntary Return in Finland (DAVRiF)". The purpose of the project is to establish a general assisted voluntary return programme in Finland for third country nationals who want to return voluntarily to their countries of origin. The IOM Regional Office for the Nordic and Baltic States in Helsinki implements the project in cooperation with the Finnish Immigration Service.

Throughout 2010 IOM will:
  • Develop and and strengthen the cooperation between authorities and other voluntary return stakeholders in Finland
  • Facilitate access to return information for both potential returnees, Finnish authorities and the general public
  • Provide up to 200 eligible beneficiares with voluntary return arrangements and reintegration support in the form of reintegration cash grants.
This three-year project is funded by the European Return Fund and the Finnish Immigration Service.
