Summary

This programme facilitated the voluntary return from Denmark to Iraq of Iraqi nationals residing in Denmark. The programme contained an information component in the form of information meetings in Denmark, and an IOM helpline (open Monday to Friday 9:00-11:30 and 12:00-15:00), operated by an Arabic and Kurdish speaker through which returnees were able to access information and seek advice about return possibilities, in order to make an informed decision about return. IOM Helsinki organized transportation, including transit assistance, and made cargo arrangements from Denmark to Iraq.
