Summary


The aim of the “Trafficking Assessment and Capacity Building Project for the Kaliningrad Oblast”  project is to prevent and curtail trafficking in human beings through enhanced understanding of the crime as it relates to the Kaliningrad Oblast and increased cooperation between law enforcement officials, legal practitioners, government officials, social workers, and NGOs. The project involves an assessment of the scale and scope of trafficking to, through, and from the Kaliningrad Oblast followed by capacity building for officials, NGOs, and social workers and participation of officials in a regional seminar on trafficking to be held in Riga in 2007.
