IOM Helsinki at World Village festival in Helsinki 28-29th May
Summer starts in Helsinki with annual World Village festival, a meeting place offering tastes of different cultures and surprises from all over the world.
The festival offers new perspectives on tolerant multiculturalism, development cooperation, global issues and expanding one's possibilities for affecting everyday life. In addition, the program includes panel discussions, music, circus, dance, theatre, art and activities.
The theme of the 2016 festival is justice. IOM Helsinki is participating this year with our Counter Trafficking campaign ‘What is the price of a human being?’ We ask the visitors to join us in raising awareness on human trafficking by taking a photograph and sharing it in social media. As responsible consumerism is a central topic in the campaign, participants have a chance to win responsibly produced products from Globe Hope.
See you in World Village, you can find us in Open Finland tent at Railway Square.
